A comprehensive financial management platform redesigned from the ground up for clarity, speed, and modern UX standards.
FinVault's legacy dashboard had grown organically over five years. The result was a fragmented experience — inconsistent patterns, slow load times, and a mobile experience that had been largely ignored. User retention was suffering and the product team knew a fundamental rethink was needed.
We started with six weeks of intensive user research: in-depth interviews with 24 power users, usability testing on the existing product, and a comprehensive audit of every screen in the application. We mapped every user journey and identified the 14 most critical friction points.
From there, we ran a two-week design sprint — rapid ideation, paper prototyping, and team alignment — before moving into high-fidelity design. Every decision was tied back to our research findings.
One of the key deliverables was a comprehensive design system built in Figma and implemented as a React component library. Over 160 components, fully documented, with dark mode support and full WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance.
The system became the foundation for FinVault's entire product suite, dramatically reducing design and development time for subsequent features.
Within three months of launch, task completion rates increased by 34%, session duration was up 28%, and customer support tickets related to navigation dropped by 41%. The mobile experience, now a first-class citizen, accounted for 38% of all sessions within two months of launch.
