Working with FICAVO
Fill out the contact form on our Contact page or email us at projects@ficavo.com. Tell us about your project, goals, and rough timeline. We'll schedule a 30-minute discovery call within 48 hours — no commitment required. After the call, we'll send you a tailored proposal within 3 business days.
Both. We've worked with pre-seed startups building their first product and enterprise teams modernising legacy systems. What matters more than company size is that you have clear goals, a realistic budget, and decision-making authority to move quickly.
We deliberately cap our client load to maintain quality. At any given time we're running 4–6 active projects. This means our team is genuinely invested in your project — not splitting attention across 20 accounts.
We're fully remote and have successfully delivered projects with clients across the US, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. We typically maintain at least 3–4 hours of overlap per day with client teams and use async communication tools effectively for everything else.
Process & Design
We follow a five-stage process: Discovery (research, stakeholder interviews, competitive audit) → Strategy (user flows, IA, content structure) → Design (wireframes → high-fidelity) → Validation (usability testing, iteration) → Handoff (specs, design system, documentation). The exact weight of each phase depends on project scope.
Both. You can engage us for design only, development only (if you have your own designs), or the full end-to-end. We recommend the full engagement when possible — the quality is significantly higher when design and engineering happen in the same room.
Figma for all UI/UX design work, FigJam for workshops and mapping exercises, and Notion for project documentation. Our Figma files are production-quality with clear component structures, auto layout, variables/tokens, and developer handoff notes — not just pretty mockups.
Yes. Upon final payment, full ownership of all design files transfers to you. This includes source Figma files, exported assets, icon libraries, and any custom design system components we've built for your project.
Development & Technology
Our default frontend stack is React / Next.js with TypeScript. For backend we use Node.js, Python, or Go depending on requirements. We're comfortable with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and most cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Vercel, Railway). We choose tools based on what's right for your project, not what's trendy.
This is a priority for us. We write clean, well-documented code with comprehensive test coverage. We don't use arcane patterns or over-engineer solutions. Most client teams are confident taking over codebase maintenance within a week. We also offer a handover session and 30 days of post-launch support on all projects.
Yes. We offer monthly retainer packages for ongoing development, design iteration, and technical maintenance. Many clients continue working with us after the initial project to keep evolving their product. Retainers are flexible and can be adjusted month-to-month.
Pricing & Contracts
Projects vary widely based on scope. As a rough guide: a focused UI/UX design engagement starts around $12,000; a full web application (design + development) typically ranges from $40,000–$120,000; ongoing retainers start at $4,000/month. We'll give you a precise, itemised quote after our discovery call.
Fixed-price projects are typically split into three milestones: 40% to begin work, 30% at design sign-off, and 30% on project delivery. For longer projects we may split across more milestones. We accept bank transfer, credit card, and wire payments.
We strongly prefer fixed-price scoped work — it's better for both parties. You know exactly what you're getting and what it costs. For projects with very uncertain or evolving scope, we can do sprint-based time-and-materials billing, though we'll always be upfront about costs before work begins.
